  • FACES:

In 1995, a group of families who have children with autism came together and realized that they had all, independently, searched the same path for diagnosis, information, and ultimately treatment for their children. The parents were not the only ones who suffered through this process: the impact of the delay in treatment for their children meant that critical time to make a difference was lost forever in the search to simply find treatment. Together, these parents founded the Foundation for Autistic Childhood Education and Support (f.a.c.e.s. or FACES) whose mission is to enable children with autism to reach their full potential by providing the community a resource for early intervention (ages 2-10), services for adolescents with autism (ages 11-22) and community awareness of pervasive developmental disorders. facesforkids.org
